The ring was lost when the girl tried to hit her husbands girlfriend as she tried to paddle away in her boat!

Really nice finds! Did you find them in Alaska? (I think that's what you said in an earlier post)
Can you post a picture of your scoop and sifter?
I'm going to make a sifter and you must have a pretty good one.
Thanks for all the posts!

I use a 4' small shovel at this drained lake

I toss the sand on the coil when it beebs, I use the X-1 probe to pinpoint...Very fast
Most small target fall through the holes, and you end up chasing them..I never use a scoop on land.....NEVER...waist of time.....
The areas I hunt are not simply pure sand...rocks,shells,leaves,clay, etc. which block the view of the bottom of the scoop
My opion...The more targets you dig the more likely you are to find something...

Now Water detecting??

I have two methods...1st for rocks/clay bottoms- I use the waterproof 560 vibra probe...
and 2nd for sandy/rocky areas - 5" stainless steel scoop with a long handle - I also use a floating screen tied to my belt to sift the sand and rocks...I never sift the sand/rocks through the scoop - allways through a floating screen.....

If you are interested in Pics. I posted some On a prievious Post..
PM me and I'll send a link...

Wife or fiance` discovered that her righteous lookin' rang had a loser stone in it and canned it with a rock to make sure it went to the bottom. Scully comes along with his trusty Explorer and rescues that unit! I like 'em finds dude, you da man! Whadda ya thank about my theory, you buy that?
