Just wanted to say "Hey!!"

Hey,

I can't remember the last time I went detecting but I'm still lurking around here and praying for the requests. I've been staying busy at the new job and so far it's going pretty good. Plus, the carpet cleaning jobs keep coming in so have been working 6-7 day weeks. I'm not complaining though because I really need the work. God is providing!!

I took Sarah driving this evening and am pleased to announce that we both survived it! I may have to replace the floorboard on the passengers side though!! For some reason it has 2 size 11 indentions in it. My heart rate has now dropped to around 150. It should be back to normal by morning. It is amazing how narrow the road looks and how fast 30mph seems when you are teaching someone how to drive.

We take Brian to Vanderbilt Sept 18th for our initial consultation with the new plastic surgeon. His tumors are really growing in his mouth and we'll have to schedule surgery soon. (You're off the hook Joe, you don't have to buy a case...yet! :drinking:)

Brian is beginning to walk now, only a little ways, but it's a start. He is afraid of fracturing a bone but wants his mobility back as well. I had forgotten how tall he is!!

Betty wrote a poem for Brian that is absolutely wonderful. Betty...would you please post it here for all to read?

Now that the weather is cooling off a bit, the low 90's, and since we've had some rain to soften the ground, the digging bug has hit me again. Hopefully I'll get out soon, if I can find my digging tools (They were last used by Carol to plant flowers).

That's enough rambling for now. I hope you all have a great week!

Ya know I bet those roads look narrow because you live so far down in hillbillyville that they aint but trails through the woods!
Just kidding! Tell Sarah good job on getting you both home alive! :)
Say Hi to Bri and ma! Get back as often as you can!

Mike

good to hear your report on all there. I taught my wife to drive a VW floor shift many years ago and it was nervous to say the least ! I'll pray for Brian and his medical needs. Glad the job's working out - do a little detecting for some personnel pleasure some time, steve in so az

Thanks for the update. Good luck on the visit. Hope this surgeon works out. God Bless!

just said another prayer for you all. Am glad God is keeping you in work to help you out financially. Maybe one day when I get the motorcycle fixed I can find time to head down your way and meet everyone face-to-face and spend some prayer and fellowship time together. Probably right now this hernia is the determining factor of when I get to do what. Never knew a hernia could get to be softball size. Thought it was bad when it was baseball size. So as you can guess not doing anything - including detecting as the bending over would put more pressure where I don't need any.
Not complaining as I know all things work for good to those who love God. Just waiting to see the glory part of this come through. Probably no one more han Brian wants to see God get the glory for his condition so there will be an end to the condition. You're still a giant of a man in my book - make that Book - a giant of faith, Brian.
One day will see you all in person. Will keep you all in my prayers.

post the pic and poem because I didn't want to post the pic of Brian without your permission and the pic and poem go together to get the full meaning. I just hope Brian likes it and understands the meaning of it for the Spiritual meaning is deep! Hope you and I get to go detecting soon, as it seems we both have the gold fever since it rained with cooler weather.....:D :D :D Been really cool at night and only in 70's or 80's during the day!

It's nice that your income is increasing, for our Lord does provide and my prayers are with you all for success with Brian's new plastic surgeon and for walking more without problems or fracturing any bones!

God Bless!
Betty

Glad to hear that you're doing well. Sounds like you had an "interesting" driving lesson :)

I hope everything goes well with the new doctor. Glad to hear the Brian is getting up again. Tell him I said hello and give my best to the family.
