I have taken my gold bug se out 2 times since it got it back from fisher labs, and its a 3 version. im not into the coins or park hunting alot, but i like its abilty to hunt at the river. 
i have found a a half sized jelly bean nugget with it that was a quartzs specimen, and despit all the none gold targets i love panning out the cracks and crud when i get a hit with the detector. The gold bug se is my very first detector, and with hunting in 90+ ground its a awsome peice of work. I know for a fact that no nugget will get away from its grasp..... lol point taken, and i just want to say i love its abilty to ground grab and be so darn user friendly in hot ground. I can say i love the macheine, and it dose honestly find the smallest peices of metal in the cracks and rocks at a high producing gold river. 
Im even thinking about buying the gold bug 2 with the highest freq. to find smaller nuggets.. Most important i want to thank the whole fiser labs for helping me out and being their for a new detectorest out... A++++
