I buy all my gear from my local dealer. He gives me good deals on everything I buy from him and tonight he really hooked me up. I had gotten prices from him on the E-trac, the Explorer SE Pro, and the Safari. I kind of had my mind made up on the Safari just because it was obviously the lowest priced of the three. He ended up selling me the SE Pro for the price he had quoted me on the Safari. I am so psyched to start learning this machine. My last machine was the Garrett AT Pro.

You will be amazed at eight inch coins that scream out at you. Listen carefully for the deeper ones and you will really be amazed. You are on the right forum to get lots of tips and help if you need it. Best of luck!

Good choice, bud. The SE is the detector I always end up going back to.
Good luck hunting.

Not only will it pick up coins at good depths, it will also pick up coins you wouldn't believe.
I was down one of my local beaches with the sand washed out down to the rocks in places, I was getting good signals but couldn't find the item, when I eventually found what they were it was amazing.
Some of the coins were tiny only about a half an inch across and looked as thought they had been hammered into the cracks in the rocks with a 4Ib hammer with only about the edge showing, fortunately I always carry a small screwdriver stuck on the end of a cork and was still having trouble digging them out.
I ended the day with about 25 coins with 3 dated before 1920. Went down again yesterday and the sand had washed back in again so only lots of fishing weights.
