Wild:
I did the same thing that SE-5 said he was ging to do, I printed the owners manual out from my computer and now I
Carry the hard copy with me when I go out to practice. I feel like a complete rookie with this machine, so having the
hard copy to refer to when I get into a bind or have a question is very reassuring for an old guy.
I'm just trying to learn the tones in 50 CO and navigate around with the buttons. I started out trying just the default coins program and
trying to see see what coins look like. I already know pull tabs are 12:15,16, pennys are 12:37,38, clad dimes are 12: 43,
44. I can at least turn it on toggle between pattern 1-2 with the detect button, set the sensetivity, pin point rather well, noise cancel
and recognize the cursor for accepted and rejected targets. I plan on going slow and learning everyting well before I start trying
to change a lot of things.
Speaking of slow, I have slowed my swing speed way down in comparison to my AT Pro. I'm going to strive to learn the CTX
the same way I know the Pro and MXT. When I hit any kind of a coin or jewelry with the Pro, I know by the sound what it is. Then I look
at the VDI to Verify. That is the way I want the CTX to be, lets say within 300 hours. I probably have well over 1000 hours
on the AT Pro. I did notice that I was digging memorial pennys a lot deeper with the CTX than I do with the pro.
I want to thank all of the experienced CTX users on this forum that share all of their knowledge and tips with us CTX dummies.
Just make sure you lead me to that first CTX silver.
Thanks everyone and Happy Hunting
