Just to show you I'm not prejudiced when it comes to digital meters.

That's right, this is the ugly stepchild I never talk about. Actually my son bought me this Quantum II a couple months back. After a few weeks of using it in the field all can I say is, it's a Whites quality built detector with discrimination and depth on par with the XL Pro and XLT. Not bad if you like zone ID. I still prefer my XL Pro to any detector made. My Compass Gold Scanner Pro is my second favorite.

I could never part with the old gal. One of the best I've used in iron infested sites. She would be my favorite if it wasn't for one little problem. She's just to sensitive to tiny targets. What makes this detector so good is the same thing that makes it bad when hunting certain areas. You better have a good pinpointer and a good back because it will sound off strong on BB's and 22cal. size pieces of lead at impressive depth. Funny thing is there's not much depth difference between it and my XL Pro on coin size targets.
