I was born and raised in a Church in Dallas . I went to that Church 27 years when I was About 5 years old which was 51 years ago we started having a penny scramble every month .They would put coins ( penny's - quarters) 3 or 4 men would throw them up in the air and kids would find them was and still is a gravel lot .So every coin was a wheat or silver I have to call That preacher . ps church was there 25 yrs before i was

Bossman that sounds like a great place to some serious detecting. Assuming that the church lot was regraveled from time to time, you may have to dig deep. Good luck with getting permission to detect there and keep us posted on the results. Happy hunting!
