This morning the news man said "WARNING <> Don't go out side <> This is an OZONE ALERT"
Well, I'll tell ya, I was sneaken all around the park and watchen for that mean old OZONE:veryangry:
I didn't find nothen around the pavilion. I mozzied into the tot lot and nothen thar.

The sun was chassen me to the edge of the tot lot by the woods and just then I heard somethin.
I turned around and saw that thar mean old OZONE duck behind a tree!!!! I have to admit, I got my wet
pants out of thar in a hurry!!!!!

When I got home, I noticed something that looked kind a like a piece of broken gold jewelry. So I
tested it with my Arkie gold tester. And guess what, it wasn't gold at all. But to my amazement
one little piece of trash I tested was 10k gold.:yikes:
Can you see the piece of gold?

Whew! That was a close one Tabdog! Ya know I bet we hav all thrown away some good stuff. Good job on snagging that one, Beale.

oh for certain. But fortunately very seldom do we know we threw it away. Years back I gave away a few Revolutionary buttons without knowing what they were. Sort of wish I had them back now. But...

The sad thing Tabdog is that that little bugger is more gold than I ever found! Still waiting to get the Compadre! Good eyes and way to check everything!

I don't throw away much. Just toss it out in the yard. I'll sort through it later. When I get a round tuit!

Hey Tab. Where's the best place to get one of those gold testers? I almost put TWO gold rings back in a shoebox because I thought that 14KF meant "filled" Turned out that the F stood for Friedman's and the ^ was their hallmark. I can see the advantage of having one of those.

Way back in the early 80's I got a signal by a 1919 Victory momument in an old park.

I dug a pocket watch and FOB.

The watch was broken but shiny gold looking and very heavy.

For some odd reason I just had it in my head it was a junk watch.

One day I opened my dug coin/junk drawer and that "junk" watch scratched some coins.

I was mad and threw the watch in the trash can.

A few months later I heard someone say Rolex watches were extremely valuable. I came from a poor family and had never heard the name Rolex before.

That watch I dug had ROLEX in fancy letters on it's face.

Latter someone told me that type of watch was mostly solid gold.

I've told this story before and got blasted for it but it's true. Dumb? You bet. But, what can I say?

Tabdog - I bet if I blindfolded you, dropped you off in the middle of the woods with your machines, you would somehow come out with gold. You are amazing, I enjoy your posts.

Hay Sling Shot.

I got mine on eBay.

It is a RS MIZAR M24 Electronic Tester.

It takes acid to test and stinks a little.

But it is very reliable and accurate.

It's hard to test small chains though.

They cost about $180.

There are several types. Some cost less,

some cost more.

It comes in handy for me.

I have used it many, many, many times.

The one bottle of acid last a long time.

I just ordered another bottle because

the original one is getting low.

Happy Hunting,
