Just testing my Nikon 4300

I have a 4300 and in certain situations it really shines. The photo in this post is very good and based on my experience I'm willing to bet it was the only photo that you didn't use the zoom on. The others are all very soft and slightly out of focus, a sure sign that you used the zoom feature. The Nikon 4300 is an excellent camera for macros. It still amazes me how good it does in macro mode. It's also a very good outdoor camera at close to medium ranges in daylight. But use the 4300 with the zoom, or in low light, and it almost always will disappoint you. Oh yeah, I don't think I ever got a flash photo that the people didn't have a major case of red-eye either. But overall the 4300 is a compact, light, easy to use camera that in the right conditions will take some pretty darn good photos. Although I took the plunge and bought a digital SLR I still find myself grabbing the 4300 on quite a few occasions. Have a blast and keep posting HD. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

I was handholding the three telephoto shots. The macro mode was the major reason for getting the 4300. I got a waterproof case for it and if the ocean in NJ ever gets clear enough that I can get some downunder shots, I'm gonna give it a go.
