Just Something to Thing About?

Buried Crap NJ

Just wanted to share this info with everyone with a Excalibur/GT I have only had the Excal since 2009 and the Gt 2011 Old heads will tell ya there's a sweet spot that comes with experience when tuning the threshold it hard to explain and no matter how many times I read just how to archive the best settings. It something that has to happen to you! But when it does watch out! Last night do to the iron infested beach I went to Auto this helped eliminate lots of nulls! BUT! When I returned to a setting on the threshold other than Auto. I was able to attain that sweet spot much easier and keep it sweet. Why? Maybe the exercising of the control to full travel helped?Maybe the knob slipped and I returned to #6 and it really was a 5 or7 ? Reason for saying this is, Matt R. had his knob fall off. He just put it back on and never zeroed it out at Auto and the next hunt he remarked how much better the machine seemed to be working. So it may have been he was at 6 and it was really 3 or 8 before? Here's the tip check to see that the knob hasn't slipped! Just something to think about!
