:clapping:Hello everyone just started hunting today with my BH tracker IV I got from the wife. I hope to learn a lot from all the experienced hunters out there and maybe some day give back some advise. I found a bunch of trash but also found some interesting stuff in the back yard. Having a good time, I think this will turn into something some day I hope . Look forward to some advise on treasure hunting.

Welcome to the hobby Vortex3842. If you ask some it becomes more of a sickness. The main thing is enjoy the hunt as much as the finds and you'll never get board of it. Do your research on the areas you want to hunt. It is part of the fun too. Try to get your loved ones involved also. It is more fun if it is something the whole family enjoys to do. Build a relationship with your detector so you understand almost everything it is saying to you. If ever in doubt DIG! You probably wont be sorry, if not that time at least one of them. You will just love the first old coin, silver, or gold(which I'm still on the hunt for) you dig up. But don't get me wrong, there is other treasures out there other than coins and jewelry. Enjoy yourself and you'll notice yourself grinning for no reason at all. Swing time is good time. Practice, practice, practice. At first dig everything until you get to know your machine. Swing and the riches will come. May the silver and gold run thick for you!

Thank you pack rat for that welcome. I have always wanted a MD when I was younger but never got one. Now that I have one I'm sure I will have fun. Thanks again for the welcome.
