I just started using an mxt this spring. It took me a few weeks to get used to it and learn how to use it correctly but now I love it. I especially like how you're able to slowly move it through the trashy areas and get strong hits and great target separation. The ability to move slow also helps in the woods and fields where there are lots of obstacles (fallen trees & branches,thick/tall grass, bushes..ect...)Also,it detects pretty deep too;)
Anyway, My name is Matt. I just got back online after a few years.I've been posting for several years with the folks in the Friends/Finds forum.
Good luck & HH, Matt

Hi Matt, Welcome aboard. The more you use your MXT the more you're going to like it. I have been using mine for 8 yrs. plus and I wouldn't have any other machine. My hubby has the V-3 and before that the DFX. Nope, wouldn't trade it for them either. We love to hear about finds, so keep us posted when you can. Good luck and happy hunting, Nancy
