Just received -Ft.McClellan 1919 map

I just recieved a copy of this map on cd and now I have to find someone with access to D size printer in order to be able to use it.It shows all the old infantry barracks locations and other such building. It should be good for finding old coins like slq and barber coins.

I'm tired of piecing pieces of maps together.I asked a friend who works in a engineering office who will print in D size.

Be careful, might be covered by one of those cry-baby liberal antiquity laws. You know, one of those who cry, leave it in the ground for all eternity so nobody can enjoy it.

Sure you can have a copy, but I can't send it by email because of its size(5 megs).I really don't mind sharing it with anyone.

Craig in Alabama, James in Alabama, Eddie in Alabama, General Ray and I hunt the Fort some. James hits it a lot because he is closer than the rest of us. Some of the better areas like the barracks and the main fort are now off limits. We have been detecting the outer areas. You have to be careful though because some of the outer areas are used by deer and turkey hunters and this time of year it can be hazardous to your health!!! Maybe we could all hook up one weekend and do some detecting together!!

Lawrence,I live in Oxford, just a few miles from the fort.I hadn't heard about the main fort being off limits.I had hunted just behind headquarters the last part of the summer.I'm looking for areas that are now wooded that were once ww1 barracks.Due to having COPD I can't hunt during the winter months so right now I'm just researching.

Hello Jim,

Just wanted to find out if you had gotten the private message I sent you the other day in reference to the fort. Could I also get a copy of your 1919 map?

Thanks,

James
