Just purchased an ACE 250 and 10 x 14

Ive been using mine here in Delaware for some time.LOVE IT! Went over an area I had hit with regular coil.Got a signal at 14 inches. Turned out to be all silver antique broach Also lots of barber quarters the other coils had missed, when pinpointing dig right at where coil crosses.HH Wayne in Delaware

I am wondering if I should have just brought an AT Pro instead of spending all this money on an ACE 250 with 10" 14" coil. Would you guys sell the items I got and get an AT Pro if in my shoes? If I did that how much money would I get back do you think? Is the AT pro really worth doing this for? Just worried I will drop the ACE in a river somewhere at some point. :stretcher: I have some great places to search for things, a few of these places require crossing rivers. If I drop the ACE in a river even once it is toast correct?

The weight will take a bit of getting use too and you be hitting alot harder on bottle caps but that being said you'll be picking up deeper targets too. The awesome thing about the DD is that it will allow you to pinpoint with your coil way better once you find the sweet spot at the top of the coil. When you get it you'll know what I mean

Been using the Ace 250 and use the 10x14 coil lots of times. Great coil for open ground such as soccer fields. Coil is of course heavier and a little more awkward to swing, but covers a LOT of ground in each sweep. Goes plenty deep too. Being a DD coil, it loves bottle caps but well worth it. Pinpoints very well off the toe when you learn how. Get a sniper coil for the tot lots and tight or trashy areas. I rarely use the stock coil, mostly the two I mentioned.

Just one thing, while we're at it:
Why do sardine cans sound out as far right silver???
(Using original coil).

The size and material can cause confusion. Remember, most detectors are calibrated for coin size objects.
