Been looking at them for awhile and needed more of a camera that what I had. Looks like it has a bit of a learning curve on it, but should do all I need to do....Found a great web site with everything one should ever want to know about it.
Hope to contribute some photos of the New England area to you guys........George-CT

a great camera! I just got my SOny CD500 yesterday and Mary is almost not mad any more. So far it is great. I had the CD 300 before so the learning curve is gonna be small.
They have made some nice improvememts. Going to take it for a walk tonight

Mine might make it by the weekend as its coming from New York, but if not the first of the week will be fine also. I'll hook up the laptop later and see if I can find a few interesting pictures you might like... I had a great time with the little olympus down south this winter...Just kept dumping them on the laptop all day....I was impressed with what that camera was taking so hoping for big things from the new one.
I know you like to do the birds...Tell ya, birds are hard to do, at least for me they are....Never sit still, or seem to be in dark areas or something. I got a few but bet I dumped about 100 that I thought might be nice......

but that is the only way to learn I guess. Much cheaper than film! <IMG SRC="/forums/images/biggrin.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":D">

The guy I was getting my Sony DSC f707 from forgot to send it out or left it on the table actually then left for Calif for 2 weeks...He emailed me, ask me what I wanted to do and said he would refund my money if I didn't want to wait, so I took the refund...Went back searching again and got a Sony DSC F 717 for a few bucks more with more memory, all the new add ons etc so came out better in the long run. Expect it here towards end of week. Its not a Nikon 5700 but should do the trick from all the reports I read on them in comparison test. Any of you own one of these and if so, how are you liking it?
