You can believe the healing in the Scriptures because they belong to us.
I had a tumor in the right groin and was going through 5 months of chemo (to end in November). A CT scan showed it still there in the beginning of September. ON the 20th of Sept as I was reading Matt 8:8 the rehma word of God fell on me and I began to weep. After I finished I raised my head and the words that came out of my mouth -- because I didn't choose them -- were, "I AM HEALED!" I told the doctors that God healed me and that I was not going to finish my chemo, to their great surprise. To make a long story short and give glory to God, they did a PET scan in October and didn't know what to make of it, you see the tumor had disappeared. They didn't know what to say or how to explain it so all they could do was read the radiologists report -- "There is no sign of disease anywhere." PRAISE GOD!
Now, go to Isa 53:4,5, the go to the end of Matt Chapt 8. "By his stripes we ARE healed>" Not might be, sorta be, or could be, but ARE healed. You see, the attonment that Jesus paid for on the cross was not only for redemption, but also for wholeness (healing).
So here's the point, If we have enough faith to believe that we have eternal life with Christ in heaven (see 1Jn 5:13), why can't we have enough faith to believe we are healed? We are already healed by Christ, but the evidence may not yet be manifest manifest in our bodies. We only need the faith. Believe you are healed and praise God for your healing until you see the manifestation. Isn't that what Jesus told several people? Your "FAITH" has healed you. Isa 53: 4,5 was the prophecy, the Jesus'attonment on the cross was the fulfillment of that prophecy for all Christians.
Now go to Mark 2:9. Why do you suppose Jesus asked the scribes this funny question, "Which is easier to say...'Your sins are forgiven, or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk?'" So why did Jesus say "take up your mat and walk," rather than "your sins are forgiven" when he just said, "(so) that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins?" When we observe a person commiting their life to Christ and receiving God's gift of eternal life (Rm 6:23), which is easier for US to say, "Hallelujah, your sins are forgiven" -- becasue we know they are -- or, "now any physical disease you may have had has now been healed"? You see, forgiveness of sin in intangible -- we can't see it -- while healing is tangible -- we have to SEE it BEFORE we can believe it. For a Christian, this is not faith in the Spirit, but faith in the flesh, or man.
I've got more on this if you would like to dialog. All I know is that God told me I was healed. The point is I BELIEVED it, and the doctors proved it through medical science. Isn't this was the blind man told the Pharases when questions about who healed him? Also, in Matt 8:8, the Centurian told Jesus, "Just speak the word and it will be done." Didn't God speak the worD in Isa 53, we he said "we ARE healed?" God has spoken his word into our bodies -- believe it and be free from the power of the evil one.
