I am trying to get this macro thing down. I know the camera can do better than this. Would I have better luck with a tripod?

Just took these in the yard. This is sorta fun

If you can flip that camera to aperture priority and then choose a smaller aperture your depth of field would be better and sharper.

I went hiking last night and when I got way out in the woods I tried to take a picture of a bunch of mad ants on a ant hill. I looked at my camera and saw that I did not have a disk in it. Bummer

btw, a smaller aperture is a higher number i.e aperture 5.6 is more open than aperture 11 or 16.
Choose something around 11 or 16.....

I love the macro stuff and I'm looking forward to seeing how my new Nikon 885 matches up...It has a great macro too...supposed to be able to get to 4cm..(1.6inches)..I think that's damn close for this cam!
