Just playing around

a couple weeks ago we had friends over and we were setting on the deck. It was dark and my flood light was on. Dale said, "what is that on the feeder? A flying squirrel?" I looked but it was only there for a sec and I didn't see it at all.

Last night I turned on the flood, some light gets to the feeder and set up the camera, on low light, on a tripod and set it to record. After I came home last night I brought it in and loaded about 1.5 hours of video on the puter. I quickly scanned through it this morning and sure nuff, there were two flying squirrels at the feeder.

I grabbed this fast shot with frame grab and will mess with the video later. I have to get that wall moved. They were there messing around for a half hour or so and I need time to edit it.

I had to format my computer the other day and putting everything back and tweaking it is a pain.

We did have a white one around for a summer, but that was it. The rest here are the grey squirrels or tree rats... Maybe the video clip will show it in flight....

I do not know if we have any living down here, never actually seen one. I mostly see the grey squirrels, with a few red fox squirrels thrown in for good measure. Kelley (Texas) :)

they are nocturnal and even though they are common around here this is only the second I have ever seen up here. The other was in my shed

my pets were sorta changed to daytime animals and they would climb a tree and when they saw us a coming they would soar down and land on our backs. Scare the heck out of you at first. They made good pets
