OK I'm going to have a lot of questions Pros. Here it goes when ground balancing I have a big hum going on squeeze trigger and hold enter while pumping coil off ground but loud hum does not quite down. Also it seem beep response is slow compared to my MXT why?

Ron, I'm not sure on your audio preferences but I cant stand the VCO threshold and thats how its set from the factory.I turned it off for a smooth, steady threshold. Not sure on your beep response question?

So I take it if I go the ground balance six pack screen I turn off VCO and It should sound something like my MXT? I like the light hum I would get out of my MXT can this be achieved with the V3?

Beep response? Is that the beep going over a target? If so, your recovery delay needs to be turned down for a faster recovery speed. Are you using factory programs or has someone made changes? Which program are you trying? Watch the video and read, read, read and many of the questions have been asked and explained in detail on here. Try using the search feature too, some of the answers are very good and discussed in depth. Did you buy a new one from a dealer or one from another owner?

Just hit your menu/tab button twice and scroll down to the expert menu and hit enter.Go to audio settings and scroll down to tone and hit enter again, then you can turn off the VCO threshold and it'll sound more like your MXT threshold your used to.

Sorry, my mistake Ron. When I took my V3 out of the box and turned it on, I got the major hum your talking about for a threshold. In the expert menu under search audio, I found that "All Metal" was on and turning "Discrimination" on instead gave me the threshold your looking for.Turn your VCO back up to 128 and check to see if the discrimination is checked instead of all metal under search audio.
