I traded my new omega for a same cond 6t... one thing for sure its considerably heavier then the omega..... anyway, any small idiosyncrecies I should be aware of as I'm hunting with it?? How accurate is the target Id when it comes to hitting on nickels...

Notching pulltabs hurts finding nickels. Just watch your VDI. Get the shooter coil. Use the VDI in all metal mode. 3 quick tips. As powerful as the M6. Hits coins I think better than the MXT. Combined with the shooter coil this detector is fun as hell.

Is it the 4x6 thats used on the mxt and others ?? Does whites make a specific one for the prism series ??

Mark i run a mxt and nickels come in at 18 20 sometimes if they are in bad soil 16 18 20.If you walk around target and 20 keeps appearing or like 18 it is usually something good 22 24 16 are usually bad .And number 50 on mxt almost always turned out to be good target.I thought the prism had there on line of coils. The hot coils for mxt are excelerators coil 10 dd and 6 inch dd.Hope this helped though it was about the mxt but they are probably similar.

spend time with the Prizm to get to know it. It can be 'OK' with the stock 9" but it doesn't excite me, especially in any site with trash.

With the Prizm Shooter coil, the 6T becomes a very efficient and FUN detector to use.

I have a whites 4x6 dd mini shooter coil for mxt it was a very good coil but on the mxt the excellerator coil 6 inch is better. But dont know how that works on 6t Monte has best advice on coils for a lot of the machines.Hope it helped some

No, it's not the same 4x6 coil that is on the MXT. White's makes a 4x6 DD specifically for the Prizm Series detectors.

I couldn't agree more. I have the shooter coil, and while I have really begun to like the 6T and shooter coil combination, I am patiently awaiting a 6" coil. As for IDing nickles, mine seems to do a good job on them.

I am beginning to like my 6T as much as my MXT and for me, that's saying something.
