Just ordered the new 11x8.5 DD coil for my GTI 2500...

From what the Garrett engineer said in his video, "it will get the depth of a 12-13 inch concentric coil". and from my testing of it on the AT Pro it sure seems so...And it does equal the depth of my 12.5 imaging coil. That shows that Garrett is on to something with this new DD design with the flat blunted ends. I like it on the AT Pro and it is very light to swing. Cant wait to try it out in this hot ground here in S. Oregon and N. California.

Gonna miss that Imaging though...

I'm not about to give this excellent feature away by fitting a different coil............however the DD coil could be an enhancement if one was to go prospecting in TAM.

It will be interesting to see your findings with this DD coil on a GTI on location.

Yeh I always miss the Imaging, but am used to it now as I use my Infinium for most of my hunts since the ground is so HOT...except when I coin hunt..which is rare now days in the Winter.
