Just Ordered The Bounty Hunter Platinum

After much research, debate and deliberation I finally decided to buy the BH Patimum. Bottom line was it just seemed like a lot of bang for the buck, I can't wait to try it out!!!

You will be happy with your purchase. I am selling mine because I bought a new detector but I loved it. It is great with coins.

Well it came yesterday and I was able test it out in the backyard today for about an hour. This machine is already paying for itself. Here is what I found:

1978 Penny
1976 Penny
1966 Penny
1960 Penny
1940 Wheat

This machine is awesome!!!! I can't wait to get out again!!!

It is a good detector. I think the best one for the price.
Don't run sensitivity too high if ground is trashy. On the beach, I can run up to 9.
Usually on land, I'm at around 6-8. Pinpoint is nice. Usually only discriminate out iron.

Enjoy your new machine.
Robert

That's a fine start, there should be other 40's-era coins around and a decent chance of silver. Right in your own yard, too! Only expense is your batteries and you can try rechargeables to hunt even more cheaply. I'm buying lots of gas these days to get to even close-by hunting spots.

Bounty Hunter Platinum, what a great MD, I just got it a few days ago. The first day I tried it at a friends place backyard, found some clad. But WOW the second day at a Park I found coins plus a silver ring; stamped 925 it weighs 12 grams. 2" down with 8" stock coil, ID 94-95, it was probably mostly luck, I searched at the right place.
