Hello all, just wanted to get started posting and get familiar with everyone. I just ordered my E-Trac today from a great guy. Have been reading the forums for a little while and pulled the trigger on the E-Trac. Would appreciate any good advice.....

I'd start with a few buried silvers first, but thats up to you..........I dug a new penny at 6 inches yesterday that had been torn in half and shredded by a mower and it was already in bad shape corrosion wise and it still picked it up. It will make a believer out of you.:minelab:

Andy's Book is a great start to learn the machine. Breaks it down so you can understand everything easily.. With him also breaking down every funtion and every definition so you can fully undestand. You can buy the book here if your e-trac didnt come with one.. I have two copies myself.. One stays in the car and other on my night stand.. IN case i start wondering about this or that (nothing like a good manual on detecing to goto sleep too) LOL :clapping:

Thanks for all the great advice, what i think i got out of all of it was:
1 Read Andy's Book
2 Invest in a good Bobcat (as we are talking DEEP Detecting)
3 Have a good time
This is a great forum with a good bunch of people.....
