After months and months of indecision I finally ordered the G2. My first new detector since 1999. I'm 62 and feel like Santa Claus is finally coming to see me again. But this time he's wearing brown shorts, driving a truck, and sportin' black cross trainers. So come fall, If I don't dig some more bullets, buttons and such, I'm taking all you guys off my Christmas list. So be good!

I don't know what you've been using. I'm not far behind you age-wise and I can tell you the light weight of these things is the icing on the cake of a great performing detector. Just be sure to read the ground balancing part of the instructions before you actually use it. I couldn't wait to try mine out and didn't do it right.
