Just ordered a AT-Pro

I think you made a great choice. I say that because I ordered one a few days ago, and it should be here tomorrow. Good plan to read the manual. When I have gotten a new detector I find it useful to go in the back yard, put down a piece of cardboard or old bed sheet and lay some objects you would like to find (quarter, dime, nickle, penny, rings, etc...) and some trash (pull tabs, nails, foil, aluminum can, bottle tops, etc...). Then swing the coil over these items to see what your machine tells you. You can make changes in your settings to see what trash you can discriminate, and how those changes affect your good targets. Good luck, and I hope to see some great finds you post later. You might already know about www.youtube.com/garrettdetectors. Some great videos. They show how to setup and run the:garrett: AT Pro. After watching them I already know how I want to set my AT Pro when it arrives. Of coarse I will make adjustment as I learn my new machine.

Your getting a great machine. i keep mt AT pro book on the dash of my car , when im tied up somewhere i read the book over an over.

I believe Garrett learned by its errors and now its good to go as they sure supplied service after the sale and with anything new always a bug or two to straighten out. Read the manual search the web as many good videos and tips and learn it well. I feel in time it will become a big seller and above a quality unit at a decent price much lower than the competition..Good luck and any questions or whatever many learned forum members and Garrett is only a toll free call away....
