Just ordered a 6" coil

Got the DD 18kHz one. I hope what I have been reading is right about that coil. The 6" concentric seemed too close to the 9" stock coil and I really liked the 4x6 DD coil on my DFX for cellar holes. I just wonder if the 18kHz freq. will be alright for coins as that's what I mostly go for. I'm not a gold digger, but if there were some gold around, I'd change my tune real quick. Ron

Ron, I also had some initial concerns about the 18.75 kHz frequency on the DD coil. But those worries were all for naught! I have found (and continue to find) the 6-inch DD coil to be very responsive to both silver and copper coins. And the separation characteristics are excellent. Let us know how it works for you, in your neck of the woods. HH Randy

Thanks, Randy.Hopefully, I'll have it for this weekend and give it a workout. I'll post the results even if I get skunked. We have a moderate amount of iron in the ground up here and DD coils seem to work better than concentric. Ron

I may get one as well, should be nice to use in those tight areas and between the rows of corn in early summer. Being 18KHz, should offer a faster sweep speed too although, I enjoy taking my time. Good luck and HH, Mike
