Just one gold yesterday.

Yesterday, Luke and I drove a good two hours away to try our luck at some well known beaches. The first place we've hit was a beach we didn't knew existed. We just happenned to fall on it. It's relatively new, but people probablyswam then for a long time because we found some oldies there.
It was windy and raining a lot, but who cares when you're detecting!

The fourth signal i dug was a nice dolphin gold ring. I knew it was gold righ away because the ring was several inches down the clayish sand and the color was right. In fact i suspect it's high K, but i can't read the small markings that are stamped on the outside rim. Probably 18K, with arabic inscriptions.

A few minutes later, i found four twonies (2$ coins) in the same hole. so after the first half hour, i had the impression that the day would be a record day. Unfortunatly, that was the only gold i would dug that day :(

Did found two silver rings at that same beach and some religious stuff but it was real hard work because the clay would stick in your basket and you had to take some chuncks and swing them in front of the coil to find the target hidden inside.

We stopped for lunch and tryed 3 more beaches that day, only finding coins... that was it for silver and gold :( Luke found a silvar ring with gold incrustration and a silver bracelet.

We got back home very tired. Fighting the rain and waves was a killer, but i'm still happy with my results. Coins total for me is a little over 36.00$ thanks to the 13 twonies i found. well season isn't over and i now stand 5 gold away from last year's record.
