Just one find today...

Got permission to search an awesome looking field across the highway from where I've found 14 .69 bullets. I'm thinking the mother lode is there as a stream runs through it.

My very first target was a .69 musket ball. Heck! I found it! It wasn't to be. This was the cleanest field I've ever hunted. Found a few small horseshoe pieces, lots of tiny aluminum close to the road, a few pull tabs, and then nothing. One 20th Ga and that was it. I don't know if this area was filled in or something but it was as clean as a whistle.

One thing I did note was the stream. There was a 15' drop off to reach it. certainly not a place suitable for a camp....

That makes 6 CW bullets found with the MX Sport.

Hey John, at least you didn't skunked. I went back an old spot that has been hit really hard last Friday. I came out with only 1 bullet..smashed confederate, my first of the season. Better luck next time.....for both of us!

Good job John, how deep is that sport nailing them bullets?

This one was right at about 7'-7.5" in bone dry ground. Add 2"-3" of grass on top of that and I think I'm getting good depth at '5' sensitivity in C&J mode. We need rain!
