Just My 2 Cents

Last week while hunting with the CTX, my first target read 1-50 @ 6" and to my surprise, out pops an 1864 2 center in XF condition. I was surprised at the TID number since I was thinking half dollar. The thicknesss of the coin reduces the FE number so a "1" isnt uncommon with a 2 center, but the "50" part was surprising. I also managed 4 indians, a V nickel and a silver ring.

Yikes, I'm going to to have to go back and dig those 1-50's I passed over today. Good thing I remember where they were. I was actually thinking about discriminating out the 50 line. Probably not a good idea.

Congrats awesome finds :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Doug the target gave a steady 1-50 reading. It did not jump around at all. Sometimes I get 1-50 readings and they are large trash. Once I had a 1-48 and it was a half dollar

I would call that a good hunt......:biggrin:

Nice finds. Just curious did you try an air test after it was recovered? It would be interesting to see what if it would be close to that or down to 40.
