Just junk, but another good workout, almost 100 pulltab pieces + trash:rage:

On the good side I watched a man land a 7lb. large mouth bass.

Digging those pulltabs meaning you doing everything right, it just no gold over there but wait for summer time :detecting:
Alex...

Typically the surf action will sort out items by weight and drag co-efficient. Moving out from the beachline pull tabs and bottle caps will line up together in a band because they have similair weight and drag, moving deeper will come coins, often by denomination pennies and dimes, then nickels and quarters. At the outer edge of the quarters you generally find a band of sinkers and jewellery.
This of course assumes that you are in the water and not in the wet or dry sand as loot placement is determined by other factors, towel line and beach cuts generally. You will of course find exceptions to this rule as we are dealing with mother nature here and she follows her own rules.
This is all rule of thumb stuff and you probably already know it from experience but hopefully this will help those new to pirating.

You get the award for the most pull tabs in a single outing. Gee whiz!!!!! Didn't you even find some clad coins?:(:| I'm just "messing" with you. I've had days like that, honestly, but I didn't have the "tenacity" to keep going like you did, and you know what they say, "every old dog has his day". Your day is coming with that kind of tenacity. By the way, I love your display of them and the picture looks great. You get an "A" for the day, as far as I'm concerned. Marc Trainor, (beach guy).

One little adjunct to this "pull tab mellenium" you had the other day, if you ever wanted to scan the different pull tabs in your "life" to see which ones you wanted to reject with the Quatro, "NOW IS THE TIME". :yo::(:O:|

it was so full of pulltabs, when you put the detector to the side to dig one it would signal for another. a small beach about 50 yards long.

If you pulled out that many pull tabs you might be able to rework that beach for some deep, faint signals and find some good stuff. At least it would make for some payback for all the work you did the other day.

Good Luck Mate,

PS I hadn't thought about freshwater lakes as Bermuda doesn't have any lakes or rivers for that matter, just ocean in all directions.
