Just had to get in a fast hunt today

Sleet and freezing rain tomorrow, wind to 45mph, Not looking good till next week, I guess you guys will get hit with more snow by this weekend :shocked:

Anyway I got in a two hour hunt with my new 6.5 X 9 PROformance coil, I am really liking this coil over the DD, Pinpoint is deadly, I got my pin pointer today but only had to use it three times ;) I used it a couple more times so I could just play with it. :lol:

Here is a picture of my finds and this is the only trash I dug, and the pull tabs ID as nickel, the pull tabs that are bent or something wrong with them is the only reason they ID as Nickels.

If I had the DD on I would have dug 10 times more trash. This is what I call a enjoyable hunt :cheers: Just Loving My ACE :cheekkiss:

nice little 2 dollar hunt. Guess U have been back to that ball field with the new coil?

Me? I like DD search coils best, but I play around with concentric search coils sometimes. To each his own.:wiggle:

Nope, haven't been back there, I had planed to last Saturday but something came up, when we go there the DD will go back on. :)
 
Oh ya, I don't Dislike the DD, I like it also, It's just nice to get in a nice quite enjoyable hunt sometime without listening to all the racket and digging all the junk :lol:
 
Nice lil' hunt. Fraid I have some sad news for ya' though. Those are the so called sta-tabs that always register as nickel in most cases. Bill and others swear they can hear the difference in them and a nickel-but I never could and even found some deep nickels and nickels on edge that gave a short signal.
 
You know that's funny you said that, I thought yesterday I was hearing some kind of crackle on them, but I don't have what it takes not to dig them :)

My first hole was a nickel, Last outing I dug about 20 of these and not one nickel, I thought it was the smaller coil, I was dang proud to find three yesterday :cheers:

My understanding is that the nickel has a longer signal, but a lot of those surface tabs do,too. Yeah, they sometimes do break up faster.
