Just got off the .......

weight scale and was floored to find out that I lost another 5 pounds from my last doctors appointment, I will admit that I have kind've dogged it the last two weeks knowing full well that I won't see my doctor again for another 3 months and 1 week so I kinda took a little vacation sorta, not walking 3 miles every night :look: just every other night depending on how I feel

Heck, last weekend I walked 3 miles twice in the same day and really enjoyed it, but what I didn't change was my diet, I eat tons at meals but I must be eating the right things, a full salad every night and steamed fresh veggies and a piece of chicken or deep fried cat fish or my Saturday night special, red meat :yo: then top off every meal with a serving of strawberry's before I go to bed with a glass of skim milk :clapping:

The weight keeps dropping and I am never hungry, some times at work I can feel my diabetes kicking in and my blood sugar getting low but I just eat a small box of raisins or a handful of peanut's then I am fine

I started out at 228, I now weigh 198 with shoes on and 194 without shoes, who would've thought, I didn't, maybe I can reach my goal weight of 160, we'll see ;)

Thought my ole faithfull friend Bart was finally gonna check out after almost 18 years, decided to just let him go without taking him to the vet, the last time I took Bart to the vet they told me to take him home because he is to old and won't live long, well that was a year and a half ago and he stills lives, dang cat just won't die :clapping:

I thought this time it really is the end for the ole boy but he is showing signs of coming back, I dropped a baby Bayer Aspirin into his water and put a little water in his food and after two weeks of not eating he is starting to eat again plus looks up at me, before he just looked for me from sound, now he can see me kinda've, we'll see

Keep in mind that the more weight you loose, the better the chance of getting rid of the diabetes and the medications. The better you feel, the more exercise you will do and not even realize it.

QUIT YER SLACKIN !!!!!! git back out there and keep at it.Congratulations on yer progress.
I know how yer feelin about Bart. I jist lost Mewe.........[attachment 102861 Picture068Small.jpg]
He was with us fer about 13 years and a few days ago he come home lookin and actin like he got into something very wrong and less than an hour later he was gone.
That pic was taken where we lived last summer. After movin into this farm type life we live now he lost all that fat and was much much more active.
He was truely part of the family and we called him a non-cat. He allways thot he was a cat but he never acted like one.
I can say this about him, all his life he allways had high hopes...[attachment 102862 9007.jpg]
Seriously tho, he is sorely missed.
I wish you the best with Bart bud. I allways have a very close relationship with my cats.Just unigue wonderfull animals.

I wish i could have kept Mewe inside Ray. Janet developed alergies and figgered with no immediate neighbors he would be ok outside here. Apparently not as safe as i thot.
I spose Mike is gonna take it rough next month when he comes home on leave and i tell him his lifelong buddy is dead. *sigh*
