Just got my X50

I took a long lunch today and waited for the UPS man. He showed up at his normal time. Like everyone else I was surprised at how small a box it was in. Packed very well and the quality was evident. I put it together and set the rod one notch from the bottom and it was a perfect fit.

I have trouble with a lot of detectors because of all the electrial interference at my house. Some detectors like the ID Edge will not even work in my yard. They just act like over priced music boxes no matter where they are set.

So I was pleasantly surprised when I turned the X50 on and it ran quiet as could be. I only had a few minutes but I did find all the coins that I had burried and never found with the Edge due to the interference. I am not trying to bad mouth the Edge just trying to make a point on how well the X50 works in a heavy interference area. They have been many a detector that will not perform at my house but this one does!

I just love the balance and feel. The pinpoint is really cool. I do think the pinpoint display is overly sensitive, meaning the 2 sides of the circle come together too soon for fine tuning. But you just listen to the tone. It will probably work better on deeper targets. Everything was easy to work without reading the manual.

Speaking of the manual..I brought it back to work to read. The boss just left town!

I might even take off early and try a park. This is going to be a fun detector!
