Just got my scoop in

Lakota

Pretty stoked to see how it does compared to my RTG 4" dry sand ( yes using it in the wet sand  )

Took this off Otlew on the classifieds. Spent more time at the hardware store figuring out what type handle material I wanted go with and what would be the easiest to manipulate. Then it took to put it together once home :D

Had all but decided on a floor scraper when I found the C clamp was to small to get around the hickory handle. Well I sure didn't want to waste money since the few examples I was considering would cost well over $20 .

Decided to see what a peice of 3/4" conduit would would run ( this is what Otlew had used ) . Yeah cost was only $4.99 for 10' piece. Yup I'll try that for the price.

Stopped by wally world in hopes of having some choices of grips for bicycles. Yeeeaahh I had one choice lol well black grips it is. Added the extra grip to my lesche ( the original red one was no longer snug ) .
Then I placed 1/8" squared mesh in the bottom for the little stuff. The over all lenght of the scoop is 65" from point of the nose to the top of the handle. Don't know yet if I'll like this OAL yet. But if I decide it needs adjusting it should be an easy fix.

Now I just need to add a magnet or two and hopefully be in the local swimming hole tomorrow.

Wish me luck,

Lakota
