Just got my Infinium

but I am a bit , disapointed because it only gets 6" deep on a dime with the 8" mono coil is this normal , what am i doing wrong i heard it can get 10" deep but it does not get past 6" the ground is good , but bone dry whats the trick am i missing somthing

That 8 inch mono should give a solid hi/lo on a nickel at 10-12 inches down with discrim at 0 and threshold in the 5-6 range. For dimes with that coil, I would think 7-8 inches would be the norm but that all depends on the conditions. Also, remember that clad and copper will hit with a lo/hi sound. It may be faint and not very loud, so you have to listen.

It takes a while to learn this unit and you have to learn how to set it up optimally for your conditions.
