Just got my 75

I took my F75 out to the park to play with it yesterday. One thing I do not like is the speaker location. When I am out in the early morning and few people around I generally do not use headphones. Just my preference. The speaker on the F75 is likely adequate but the location makes the high tones hard to hear.

Going to read the forum now and see what you guys have found about settings. If any of you have any beginners tips please let me know

Thanks to all

That's true.....it's probably designed more for the headset dependant hunter. But, I believe it was done that way for balance reasons as a speaker in the back of the LCD screen would have made it that much wider/heavier up there....
Anyhow, sorry I missed meeting you at the DIV hunt & hopefully you got to hold the F75 at the meeting (I know it was very crowded).....I saw you made a nice button find:)
There's a good quick start settings at the beginning of the manual. Like I keep saying to folks having trouble, keep in mind this unit has tremendous power. Many complaints are due to overdriving the sensitivity. Until you get comfortable try sens. 50-60 (plenty deep there for coins). Pick as many tones as you like say 1,2,3....DE or BC process to start out. Dig some clad at first, get comfortable. Later on you can get some better depth with higher sens. & maybe even the hot "jewlery process"....

I actually saw you across the room at the meeting but could not get over to you to speak. I took the F75 to a wood chip play ground today and had a ball finding clad, two earrings, they actually matched, and one single silver earing with a stone. The clad was easy to pick out and overall I enjoyed the machine one I got a bit used to it. I had a Tecknetics before this with the 6.0 Program. This machine is seemingly more powerful. I actually carried the F75 to the hunt with me and took it to the field. After ten minutes of playing with it put it back in the car. I realized that Virginia was not the place to learn a new machine with limited time. Next year I hope to do my hunting with the F75 should I make the hunt. Going now to study all the posts here and I will post my findings when I get to really hunting with the Fisher.
Thanks to all,

Stephen, I've been coinshooting and set disc. at 15, sen. on 60 tones 3h and process de. I'm able to fast grab ground balance and ground balance of between # 63 to 67 here in West Tn. HH jim tn

You should have no problem transitioning from a T2....that's how I was able to pick it up so fast.
The only thing I have to really remember is that iron on the T2 is below 40, & with the F75 it's below 15.....
