Just got my 5'' coil for my CZ70.

Expect it to be EXTREMELY "tight" as for pinpointing. Expect a loss of depth, but not too bad...you'll still get 6 inches maybe more. Expect it o work VERY well in trash and around multiple targets. It can really get the goods out of an area that the 8 or 10.5 can't. And finally, expect to feel like a body builder walking his girlfriends poodle in front of his buddies with that little girly-man coil on the end of your shaft...that sucker is TINY. It's also so light you feel like there's nothing there.
I've used mine a few times with a fair amount of success. It's definitely a coil that has it's time and place.

Remember you should be able to run your sensitivity higher and the hockey puck will go where no other coil can. I really believe swinging this acc. coil gives you a better idea of coverage and proper swing patterns also..

I really love that little coil. I have one for my CZ7A Pro and I am amazed at how well it does in iron and close items. I have used a DD coil on another brand but I really like the 5" much better than the DD coil.
I agree with Dan on it making you aware of your sweeps. Go slow and over lap and you will be well pleased.

Once you build confidence in this coil, depth and balance, you'll think it was a wise investment.--Wade tx

every time I put my 8 incher on I end up putting the 5 incher back on again.
The hardest thing for me to get use to was such a small coil on the end of the stick.
It feels inadequate , so what I do is swing it in smaller grid areas like I just visually grid off a 10 or 15 foot squate area and go slowly over that, I also like it in areas like between side walks and curves also near parking meters. You can adjust the foot print to real small or bigger with the sensitivity control also depth with is very much controllable. You will be able to find stuff amoung iron you won't find with the bigger coils. It can get surprising depth also. In real clutterd area don't hesitate to set the sense control real low. It will get between a lot of junk for the good stuff but you have to work slow, slow. Maybe some others will come up with more operating tips.
