I just picked up my Beachunter 300 from my local dealer. I cant wait to get to the beach and try it out. I normally hunt just the sand with my V3i, I wanted something so I could get into the water. Any advice on using the Beach hunter would be appreciated.

Hunt in all metal all the time in the wet sand & water. Remember , the lights don't lie . If any red don't dig. Wishing you all the luck with your new detector

MIne will give you red for new pennies and corroded ones. I still dig all targets unless they are discrimmed out in heavy trashed area. I like the machine but you have to be careful on the lights and tones and really listen. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I dig all red signals in Canada as our coins now have iron in them .

I got an older BHID. Its around 85% accurate...the lights. I won't dig if red blips at all really. 95% of time is iron...I dug a few just to see...enough to know its not worth it. All detectors should have lights like that...they rule.
