Just got CZ6a

Hi Bill
New to the Fisher family. I just got a used CZ6a. Any recommendations on where to start for settings. I want to hunt an area around a cellar hole that has been hunted out. I know there is mor there. Should I use the 8" or 10" coil? Thanks for any help guys.

That's a nice detector with it's weatherproof features. I use a CZ7A, splashproof. They're a little heavy especially with the rugged 10" coil, the 8" makes it easier to handle during a long hunt but I can handle a good 2-3 hour hunt with the 10". They get deep but also like iron even when it's notched out. Now you have no excuse to detect in the rain. HH, Mike

AS MIKE said...that's a fine choice. I have a 6a myself I will never sell because it's my rain machine. I would use the 8" coil for the cellar hole. Cellars have alotta trash & the smaller the coil the better. I use the 10.5" for open fields & such.
It's a powerful deep unit. So remember you don't have to crank sensitivity up. In fact, I think NASA Tom said a CZ is at it's peek at sensitivity of like 5. So put sens on 5., Disc on 1 to cancel small iron & be sure to learn how to ground balance correctly. You should do well...
Good luck,
Bill
