Just got an MXT

New member
I just bought an MXT with 2 extra coils , I got this machine for coins as I have a Gold Bug , Eureka Gold and the New Minelab Gold Monster 2000.
I plan on hunting tot lots and such , maybe a few old home sights.
I live in AZ , Close to the Kingman area.
Any tips would be helpful.
Thanks
Rick

run it with 950 coil and she will find the goodies! If the area is real trashy the 5.3 coil rocks.

Congratulations on your MXT purchase. I agree with kozman with using the two coils. HH, Nancy

I should have mentioned the coils that cam with it are stock , 6x10DD and round 10"DD.
I want to use this mostly for the local tot lots.

I prefer the 9" spider coil over the 9.5 coil, as it is a little bit lighter in weight, and performs the same as the 9.5.

Me too for the same reasons JEF said. I've heard that the inside coil windings are the same between both, it's just the outer housing that is different. It does seem to perform the same and the 9" spider is noticeably lighter and handier. It balances perfectly on the MXT.
