Just got a second hand Tejon - A simple question

Hello,
I've just got an used Tejon from Ebay and I noted that Ground adjust trim turns with no end (I can turn it endlessy). It is broken or is normal?

Please let me know, 'cause I'm a bit worried about it.

Best regards,

Perfectly normal knob. Download manual from the Tesoro site and read very carefully.
Best to you.

You will feel a slight change in resistance when you actually reach the end. It won't hurt anything to keep turning it, but it won't do anything either. Take a close look at the shaft of the potentiometer as you turn it. The knob is geared somehow so that your adjustments are transformed into micro adjustments. Once you reach the end of the travel (either way) the shaft stops turning.

Another tip: once you ground balance the Tejon, you don't need to make massive changes next time you fire it up. If you are hunting the same area, the GB should only need minor fine tuning. I have read somewhere about people turning it 3 turns counterclockwise every time they fire it up, then adjusting the GB. This seems like a huge waste of time.

Normal. Some will turn it at least 3 turns CCW, then 1-1/2 CW to put it somewhere near the middle to start out, then adjust to ground balance. This way your not starting from one extreme end or the other. On the next hunt, I just check and adjust from where it was from the last hunt.

Thank You Guys for the tips. I tried it indoor but it's too noisy. I cannot either set threshold.
Btw, how many GB total turns from - side to + side?
Take r.
