just got a Equinox 600 as a back up to my 800.

Just a 600 for back up to my 800, is there anything special I should know?

Thanks MackDOg
I'm a 600 user.... the noise cancellation is only automatic, so sometimes you have to press the noise cancellation button two or three times before things quiet down. But it usually does a good job on the first press of the button. And the only other thing I can think of that's critical is that you only have three recovery speeds.

Well you have two hands & 2 detectors have at it.
thinking of making the 600 mainly for water and the 800 for the rest. I have all the coils so I can switch them out. I always want a good back up and I got a sweet deal by trading in my MX sport

That is what I do. My 600 is just for water.
hears a water hint. Take the skid cover off the 11” coil and take a tube of silicon calk and fill all the holes in the bottom of the coil the let dry and the problem of sand filling the holes is gone. I rarely have to Pope it off and nothing is under it.
