Sorry about all the posts concerning myself But it's winter & I have no finds to entertain with...so how bout some old finds Someone just alerted me to the fact that a couple of my old magazine articles were still located in the W&E Treasures archives online. I never even knew about this one. This was the first story that ever got published & started the ball rolling for me Hope some people who didn't read this will enjoy it again. That was one of my best days of hunting ever, & I got to share it with my dad as well. I just read that I was using a 1266x at the time & was overjoyed I found my first Fugio cent......man, time flys

I noticed I had my brand new 1270 in one of the photo's. I went from a 1266x, to a 1270, to a CZ-6a, to a Coin$trike....Man, it all seems like along time ago (and I have a few grey hairs now) There was one mistake in that article. My dad found the belt plate mentioned in the article, but the one I'm holding in that pic I found a short time later at another site. I kinda felt dumb they made it look like I was posing with someone elses finds

Battle ship. A friend of mine builds battleships and carriers down around Ft. Lauderdale. He belongs to a club down there and they go out and float them and have races and such. Very Cool!

The famous German battleship, (from WWII I think?). Not sure why he picked that one, but there had to be a reason. He was a self-taught painter, & built this boat with dreams of making it remote controlled for water. The thing is about 6 feet long or something & my parents have had a hard time trying to move & display it in their small house. Last time I was there I saw a like a mast piece had broken off . There's a museam nearby with tons of ship models there & I want to inquire about putting it on loan there. Anyhow, I have to go to my parents this weekend so I'll try to remember my camera this time......

which was classified as the unsinkable Bismark. There were several fleets looking for and trying to sink the Bismark. It was like the flagship of the German navy and would be a beautiful ship to model with a great history.

I think my grandfather was a big fan of the movie, "Sink The Bismark".......
