I bet everybody here has a tackle box with metal detecting supplies they travel with. I'm up to the jumbo five tier model that is larger than the suitcase I put my clothes in when I travel. Now, as I was out for about 3.5 hours this morning and ran out of water in 85 degree bright sun, how about a little poll? What one item would you not be without in your MD kit? Metal detector and spare batteries don't count.

I am going to choose 3 bottles of water. I had 2 before this morning.

Baggies to put the goodies in from different areas.
 
Never leave home without it. I don't buy the bottled water so I fill up empty 24 OZ. Pepsi bottles and carry them in the console in my van.
