Just finished watching the new Thomas Dankowski DVD...

and I can say that I was impressed! The DVD is 1 1/2 hours in length with a very nice format...very informative and entertaining...it made me want to watch it very closely as to what was being demonstrated and described...the 1 1/2 hours went by very quick...for $24.99 and $3.00 shipping/handling it was well worth it. For the many of us who live in the Northern climes, it's also a nice video to watch during the Winter months when we can't hunt to help us deal with the "cabin/detecting fever"...I always enjoy seeing a plug being dug and a nice Barber coin or Indian come to light after many years being lost. I ordered from the Dankowski Detectors website and I received it nicely packed a few days later with additional bonus information. Another thought-I know that I will buy any DVD Tom makes since I have definitely become a better detectorist and found alot more goodies since I started following his material. For example, after learning that you should sample relic readings on your CZ-70, I went out into my 1894 farmhouse yard and dug a nice silver war nickel that I never dug since I thought it was probably just another hunk of iron. When I got my 3D, I went out to my favorite 1830's farm site and pulled a nice 1867 Indian that I passed over with my CZ-70 since again it would have come up as relic or bounced. I know everyone out there has their own opinions about what I've said in this post but I think it's important to support those out there who are trying to improve our understanding of the hobby...just my humble opinion...I'll be on vacation the whole week so I'm hoping to get in some detecting time at some good old sites and posts some finds with my CZ-70 and 3D...HH

I too learned some things and have tryed out. I just read the Fisher report #5 again. Its funny how you get use to hunting one way,and then you try out an idea, then it works or it don't. If it does then it can be rewarding.
Thank You
Tom
