Does anyone know of a website that one can go to to have antique piece of jewelry appraised,
or maybe just a ballpark, so there isn't a price tag on something that may not justify it. I was curious what
that .925 sterling ring might be worth from last weeks hunt.

No, the only way to really know is to go to a jeweler so they can check the quality, whether it has real materials instead of imitation, and look for defects. With that being said, judging from only the pictures and assuming no defects and non-imitation components, I'd say around $225-250. Keep in mind, I'm not an expert.

Thanks, Justin found some online appraisers, but I didn't want
to pay $40.oo to find out the ring was worth $90.00 I appreciate
the thread though.

You're welcome. One of the big things that makes or breaks the value of jewelry is the gem stone. It's kinda hard to tell if it's real or not or the quality from a computer. Some jewelry stores will appraise the value of it for free. Just make sure you go to a place you can trust.

Most people won't pay more than scrap Price. Just the metal value that is (Gold, Silver, Plat, etc). It would have to be somthing real special to get much more than that

Yeah, your probably right unless it could be sold as an antique
