I think something wrong with it or I'm wrong?
1.With discrimination of 4 and 5 in enhanced mode all targets
make the same sound - very short high tones. Modern and old pennies
make absolutely identical sound like quoter's and dimes. (within 2-4
inch deep). Or it suppose to be so?
2.When I put coin on the sand and push "pinpoint" button and move coil
over it - "pinpointing sound" starts 3 inch before coil approaching coin,
then becomes louder, then lower and stops only when coil passed 3 inch
from the coin in opposite direction. Looks like it very difficult to pinpoint target on the top of soil...I need to dig very large hole
to find the target usually...
Please, let me know if this is normal - or I need to contact Fisher
and ask for help?
Thank you for answers in advance.

1.Yes, modern and old pennies will sound like quarters and dimes since they are all "high coin" targets.

2. To properly pinpoint a target, the pinpoint button should be pressed away from the target and then brought towards it to hit the target in the center on the coil.

If this is your first Fisher, I would read the manual if you have it or download and print it for free at the Fisher Labs site.

Hope that helps a bit...Happy hunting!

Thank you,Christopher, it helps a lot. It is my first Fisher (I own
Bounty Hunter Tracker IV before), and I'm going to have my opinion
on CZ-3D only after I will use 3 sets of batteries, like manual recommend. I just really glad that my doubts make no sens. Thank you
very much.

Go here to read a lot about your 3D. This site was humming with info about when it first came out and I collected lots of posts about it.

Good Luck,

For targets on or very near the surface try raising your coil a little. I think that you will find that helps with PPing.
