Hi All.

Just got safari, well happy at the moment, couldnt afford the etrac but this seems simple and deep.Question is,the default trash setting is high,is it best to leave it like this, just remember the quattro was default low.

Thanks gaz

Hi Gaz,
High trash is normally the way to go. Unless you are positive that there is not much trash in the area. If you had the Quattro you should have no problem with the Safari. Plenty of people here to help!
Best of luck and we look forward to seeing some of you finds.

Put as simply as possible, HIGH for faster reset and faster target identification and LOW resulting in a slower reset but more accurately identifying targets. In HIGH, you can swing faster than in LOW. In LOW, you have to swing slower, otherwise you will blend target I.D's together (because of the slower reset) and also LOW seems to ID at a little deeper depths, at least that what some detectorists agree upon. I hope that helps!!

Thanks for replys both of you, sure does help.

Thanks Gaz..

Best of luck from another "Safarian", just put some time in with it and you'll be o.k.

Hi Gary, stick with High for the moment, low can be a lot slower. I have tried both on and off but prefer the response from high trash, best of luck with the Safari.

I really like to push the envelope when it comes to swing speed, plus my area contains large amounts of both old and new trash, so the high trash density setting was the only way to go and what great results!
