Just bought new Tesoro Silver Umax--Any tips?

I just bought my first Tesoro for my son because it's lightweight and ease of use. I've used several brands of detectors for years and I'm looking for any pointers by anyone who has used one of these.

Great mach.my wife uses one and just scored another ring this weekend she works hers in disc.mode with sensitivy set on foil,just turn it on and go!!
 
Disc right below nickle sens at 8. This is a good starting point. Plan on investing in a clean sweep coil if you are coinshooting.
