I'm new to detecting and have been having a blast with my children using the fisher cz-3d I just bought. We found a 1939 centavo in our yard right after we bought it and I'm hooked! I live about 30 miles north of Houston and would appreciate any suggestions of good places the kids and I can go hunt .... thanks!

Schools, city parks and beaches are great places to hunt!! Also I like to hunt for areas that's off the beaten trail like old house foundations in the woods aka cellar holes also old homesites are great to hunt but no matter what hunting you do always abide by the local laws and also always get permission to hunt on private property!! Good luck and also you made a very wise decision on your detector choice CZ'S are awesome.

Me no live in USA!, but good luck with your CZ-3D, you have a wicked machine to play with :)

Welcome and all the best of luck to ya!
